FAQ

In regard to export rules, regulations and procedures in your country, including pre-export inspections lists, please visit your country’s appropriate government authorities.

It is strongly recommended that prior to importing a vehicle, you research what is expected of you as a vehicle importer in your country and understand all risks and responsibilities.

We basically honor currency only in U.S. Dollars.
No other currencies are honored.

We only accept payment by telegraphic transfer through bank remittance.
The bank remittance provides an official written evidence of the payment transaction for both the buyer and seller.
We neither accept payment by credit card nor accept money transfer service like PayPal or Western Union.

We are available 24 hours every day 7 days a week for online inquiry and e-mail.
For telephone calls, we are available on business days from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, Japan Standard Time excluding Japan's national holidays.

IHM Trade does not guarantee that we will provide you with the spare keys.
If the spare keys are available, we will send them to you.
However, we do not duplicate spare keys on request.

You may cancel a deal before the vehicle is shipped.
Cancellation rules vary, depending on the phase of your transaction.
Please check the cancellation rules as follows.

1) Before you make remittance, you may cancel anytime without cost. Please notify us immediately, in such case.
2) After we have received your payment, we will charge10% of the invoice amount or $500, whichever higher, as a cancellation fee.
We will refund the amount after deducting the charges such as bank charges.
3) Once the shipping arrangement is made, we do not accept any order cancellation.
Therefore, no refund is available.

IHM put quality verification statement for each car, which is based on physical inspection of the car by professional authorities in Japan.
The vehicle you select does not have such quality verification statement or if you would like to have double check, you may request for a chargeable inspection.

IHM keep the vehicle for customer as long as customer meet the payment deadline.
48 hours (2 days) for Telegraphic Transfer, 120 hours (5 days) for payment confirmation at our bank from the invoice is issued.

If the vehicle is in before the customs clearance, it is possible to change the destination. Cost of such action varies depending on the shipment progress. Please consult with us if you need to do so.

After we send you documents, we will email you the tracking number of these documents. You may use the tracking number to track the documents sent to you.

IHM Trade checks the Bill of Lading contents to confirm, if your purchased vehicle has been shipped to you or not. The B/L is a document issued by the shipping company, where the shipping company certifies the shipment, final destination and details of the vehicle.

IHM Trade will make sure that the purchased vehicle is shipped to your final port. The shipper in charge, will send you all standard documents required to release the product from your port including the Bill of Lading. After the vehicle reaches your port, it is your responsibility to receive the vehicle at your port and perform necessary procedures. With the documents provided by IHM Trade, yourself or any clearing and forwarding agent appointed by you, will be able to release the product at your port.

Shipping schedules may change due to unavoidable reasons like weather, routing of ships, etc. We are always communicating with shipping companies, to make your purchased vehicle reach you in the shortest possible time.

You will receive Two(2) original B/Ls, 1 original export certificate of the product, 1 original inspection certificate (if any).

Generally, your documents will reach you before the vehicle. Please track the documents through the tracking number we sent you. If you cannot track the document or if you are worried, please contact us.

You may contact authorities in your port to suggest you some clearing agents or forwarding agents.

The shipping duration depends on your port, schedule and frequency of vessels, weather, etc. Normally it takes 1-6 weeks from Japanese port to your port.
The following is the approximate duration of major shipping destination for your reference.

South East Asia & Pacific Region: It takes about 1 week from Japanese port to your port.  
Middle East: It takes about 4 weeks from Japanese port to your port.
Africa: It takes about 3-5 weeks from Japanese port to your port.
South America: It takes about 4 weeks from Japanese ports to your port.
Caribbean: It takes 3-5 weeks from Japanese port to your port.
Caucasus: It takes 6 weeks from Japanese port to your port.
